Our Story
Sky Club Supper Club – A Legacy of Excellence Since 1935
Nestled in the heart of Plover, Wisconsin, Sky Club Supper Club has been a cornerstone of fine dining and family tradition since its founding in 1935. What began as a humble supper club with just a handful of tables has grown into a remarkable 16,000-square-foot establishment featuring five elegant dining rooms and a spacious banquet hall. Today, Sky Club continues to serve the local community and visitors alike with timeless hospitality, outstanding cuisine, and an atmosphere that blends classic charm with contemporary style.
Owned by Marion Noel, Louie Jacobs, John Rocco, and Louie and Evelyn Schnuttiger, the original founders’ story continues to unfold, adding to the rich history of this iconic restaurant. In 1961, the club was purchased by John Freund, whose dedication to quality and service laid the foundation for a lasting family legacy. His sons, Doug and Terrol Freund, later carried the torch, and the tradition is proudly upheld today by Eric and Pat Freund.
Sky Club is widely celebrated for introducing the first-ever salad bar in the United States in 1950—an innovation that redefined the American dining experience. This trailblazing spirit lives on through a menu that features premium steaks, fresh seafood, and a wide range of classic supper club favorites, all crafted with attention to detail and culinary expertise. The restaurant’s full bar serves handcrafted cocktails and an impressive wine list, including the club’s very own Sky Club Brandy, which is bottled and sold in-house.
Voted Wisconsin’s #1 Supper Club, Sky Club is more than just a restaurant—it’s a gathering place for families, friends, and food lovers. Whether you’re joining us for a special night out, ordering takeout, or planning a catered event, our team is committed to delivering exceptional service and unforgettable meals.
Though grounded in time-honored tradition, Sky Club continues to evolve, appealing to new generations of diners with a fresh yet respectful approach to the supper club experience. We are proud to serve everyone, welcoming guests with the same warmth and hospitality that has defined us for nearly a century.
From intimate dinners to large celebrations, Sky Club Supper Club remains a cherished destination for those seeking quality, comfort, and community. Join us today, and be part of a legacy that spans three generations—and counting.

had this to say:
It was wonderful. I had escargot, frog legs, the salted nutroll martini (I sucked it down because it was so delicious and immediately got a buzz), and the pan sea scallops with gouda mac and cheese as a side. The salad bar is great, too, with so many options to choose from. My mother had the beef stroganoff that she really enjoyed and was even excited for the leftovers of. I don't know what my grandma had but she loved her food, too. It was my birthday and they gave me this fantastic cheesecake with a candle. It was cute. A good experience overall, especially for my first time ever visiting a supper club.
